The area around the building

There are no barriers around the building. There are paved paths around and pedestrian crossings in the vicinity of the building have lowered curbs. There are several parking spaces for people with disabilities both along wyb. Stanislawa Wyspianskiego and ul. Norwida.

Entrance to the building

The entrance to the building is accessible from the ground level (main entrance and side entrances). The main door is situated in the glass facade, emphasized by a small roof. The door is opened manually. The user enters a large hall with a concierge and cloakroom on the left side. At the two side entrances there are TOTUPOINT loudspeakers (a solution designed for people with sight impairment).

Building

The building is five-story (4 overground and one underground). All floors are accessible to people with disabilities. The building on the ground floor and first floor is L-shaped, and from the second floor it has a linear layout. There are three closed staircases and 4 elevators in the upper part of the building. In the lower part of the building there is an open staircase and one elevator. All elevators have facilities for people with disabilities. The lecture rooms are located mainly on the ground floor and the first floor. They are accessible to people with disabilities. However, it is not possible to get to every level of the lecture hall (entrances to the lecture rooms, adapted for students in wheelchairs, are marked with the symbol of a disabled person). There are places for people on wheelchairs in the lecture rooms. There is one toilet on each floor for people with disabilities.

Additional information

You can enter the building and all its rooms with an assistance dog and a guide dog.

There are no induction loops in the lecture halls. However, they are available in the Recruitment Department and the Department of Accessibility and Support for People with Disabilities.
